I am interested in at kit where I can drive about 35-40km/h when I am delevering the same power as I do on a normal bike driving 20km/h. Would "ELFEi 500 W Umbausatz" be the best solution?

Is it the same motor and the same control that you use, no matter which size of the wheel?
Do I setup wheelsize on the controler?
I can read that many are complaining about the max speed is to low. Could that be solved by setting the controler up to think that the wheel size is smaller than the actual size? (I assume that it is not missing power, but speed limiting that is the problem).

I do read and speek German. But writing is to problematic for me.

Dear Hans,

for speeds up to 40 km/h, the 500W ELFEi kit is the best solution, but with the problem of a low range. You won't be able to ride 50 km with 1 battery charge.

Therefore I would recommend you the regular 250W ELFEi kit. At the end of the ordering process come a field to write us a comment. There you can advise us to use a 20" motor with a 26" or 28" rim. This way you come up to speeds of 30-35 km/h with the range that you need.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your quick response!

I understand that with this solution, it will not switch of the power before 35km/t. But do you think that 250W is sufficient power for the differance between 20km/t on a normal bike to 35km/t at the e-bike?

Do you think that 25 km is possible with the 500W solution? (Also charging at work)

Dear Hans,

a range of 25 km should be possible with the 500W ELFEi motor.
But even the 250W motor does provide very good torque at any speed, so this would be a good solution for you, too. This way you wouldn't have to recharge at work.

Best regards
Andreas
